Casual Announcements

How do you casually "announce" good news? I've gone from keeping it a secret over the last couple weeks to being ready to let people know. But it's not such big news that I need to make a grand announcement, and it's not ready for facebook yet. But I want to avoid the "Why didn't you tell me?" without making a big deal over something that's not.
