We Americans have a wonderful tradition. We spend a day giving thanks for our blessings. We commemorate a time when our nation's founders gave thanks for what little they had left--their lives. We observe a holiday set forth by President Lincoln, who ruled the country when the nation was tearing itself apart, families were divided, and a portion of society was brutally subjugated, mentally and physically. We take one day and devote it to being grateful.
Then the next morning we wake up early and fight crowds and other rabid consumers for more STUFF.
Ironic?

My thoughts exactly! And there are even some stores that were open on Thanksgiving this year! Forget thankfulness... we are all about STUFF!
